Nominations for ‘Deal of the Year’ and ‘Custody Technology of the Year’ are among the Editors’ Choice awards announced for Global Custodian’s North American Industry Leaders awards night.
In addition, Global Custodian will award a ‘North American Sub-Custodian of the Year’, with Brown Brothers Harriman, Citi and RBC Investor & Treasury Services among those nominated.
It is the first year Global Custodian will award ‘Deal of the Year’, recognising the most ground breaking custody mandate for 2017. This includes JP Morgan’s $1 trillion custody mandate with BlackRock, State Street’s €450 billion renewal mandate with Allianz Global Investors, and Northern Trust’s $54 billion custody mandate with the Boeing pension fund.
Nominated for ‘Custody Technology of the Year’ are BNY Mellon’s NEXEN, State Street’s Beacon, and Citi’s Velocity Clarity. The award takes into account availability, scalability, and innovation within the custody and fund services sector.
Global Custodian will also award ‘Best Overall Provider’ for the mutual, hedge fund and private equity administration categories, and the prime brokerage category. Nominees are based on those providers with question scores above 6.00 from Global Custodian’s surveys.
Winners will be judged and selected by Global Custodian’s editorial panel, with the awards to be handed out at the North American Industry Leaders event in New York City on 30 November.
