The British investment firm Cube Financial Limited began direct trading in shares on Oslo Brs from Friday 13 May.

With the announcement, the number of investment firms with remote membership of Oslo Brs now stands at 16 out of a total of 39 members.

By becoming a member firm of Oslo Brs, Cube wants to build further on their European equity desk. The firm is already a member of one NOREX exchange, Stockholmsbrsen and is also a member of every major derivative and cash exchange in Europe.

“We are delighted to welcome Cube Financial as a member of Oslo Brs. An increased number of foreign member firms creates a larger network of investors, and this in turn helps to create greater liquidity in the Norwegian market”, comments Sven Arild Andersen, President and CEO of Oslo Brs.

“It is encouraging to see a new remote member joining Oslo Brs and we welcome Cube to this expansion of their Exchange Network. With the addition of Cube Financial Ltd, SEB now acts as Remote Agent Bank for 7 of the 16 Remote Members in the Norwegian Market,” says a representative of SEB Merchant Banking.
