Poland’s Ministry of the State Treasury has chosen the consortium formed by McKinsey&Company Poland, CDM Pekao and Ernst&Young Audit to be the adviser to the state in the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) Privatization process.

The adviser’s task will be to prepare and assess possible scenarios concerning the WSE privatization and recommend the best means of privatization of the Warsaw bourse, according to a press release from BA-CA. The selection procedure for the adviser was postponed due to an appeal against the decision filed by another participant earlier this year. The adviser is expected to prepare the strategy for the WSE privatisation within next three months.

Recently, WSE representatives said that, contrary to previous expectations, the stock exchange privatization process might be delayed into 2006. The original plan had targeted 2005.
