JP Morgan has hired Thomas Brand to lead the custody and fund services (CFS) business in Germany and Switzerland, according to an internal memo.
Brand joins from DWP where he was division head of client management. Prior to this, he also held a number of senior European custody and fund services roles, including head of investment services at BNY Mellon.
He will have oversight of product, sales, depositary services, client services and operation activities in the two countries, and will also lead the local CFS management team.
In the new role, he will also work alongside the heads of Luxembourg and Ireland, as the US bank looks to evolve its European strategy.
Brand replaces Michelle Grundmann, who joined State Street in Frankfurt as head of global services, Continental and Southern Europe, based in Frankfurt.
