Annual awards ceremony to be held at The Savoy, London on 15 May, recognising custodians, market infrastructures and technology providers.

By Editors

Global Custodian is pleased to announce the shortlists for its annual Leaders in Custody awards being held in London at The Savoy on 15 May 2025, including survey-related honours and Editors’ Choice categories.

The evening will once again recognise the achievements of the global securities services industry, with awards celebrating global custodians, sub-custodians, technology providers and market infrastructure providers across a range of categories.

As always, the celebrations will honour top performers from Global Custodian’s Agent Banks in Major, Emerging and Frontier Markets surveys, along with Editors’ Choice awards recognising areas of innovation and achievements the research does not traditionally cover.

There is also an opportunity to nominate some of the industry’s brightest ideas for our Innovation awards categories, which you can do by clicking here.

Individual awards including our Lifetime Achievement award, GC Legends and Industry Person of the Year will be announced at a later date.

Leading the way this year with the most nominations are SIX and Standard Chartered Bank with 10 apiece, while BNP Paribas, Northern Trust and BNY are up for six. SEB, Eurobank, State Street and Intesa Sanpaolo are each nominated for five honours, while Euroclear is in contention for four awards. Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, Digital Asset and Clearstream feature three times in our shortlists.

There are also multiple nominations for Piraeus BankMizuho Bank, Citi, DTCC, and Saphyre.

New awards this year include regional honours stemming from Global Custodian’s Agent Banks surveys, along with – in the Editors’ Choice segments – Outstanding Data Platform, Digital Asset Partnership of the Year and Asset Servicing Project – One to Watch.

Some of those featured in these shortlists include UBS, RMB Custody, National Bank of Egypt, Chainlink and BBH.

We are also pleased to introduce the Asset Servicing Outstanding Achievement honour for the standout asset servicing initiative of the year covering both existing and new projects, platforms or offerings.
