Boston-based fund manager Acadian Asset Management has transitioned its long/short portfolio to SS&C’s administrator platform, GlobeOp.
SS&C will provide middle office and administration services across Acadian’s long/short operations, including trade capture and lifecycle processing.
Acadian has been using the platform as its fund administrator for long-short strategies since the launch of its Diversified Alpha equity strategy last year.
Tara Norton, director of hedge fund and alternative asset operations at Acadian, explained the decision to use SS&C’s platform followed a detailed search and due diligence process.
“SS&C was able to clearly demonstrate their ability to service large, complex, long-short fund managers across a broad range of asset classes and they were unrivalled in terms of technology offering,” she said.
Bill Stone, CEO at SS&C Technologies, added the firm’s services are designed to provide asset managers with high levels of service and transparency.
“This relationship demonstrates the range of our platform and expertise, which can support the full lifecycle of virtually any strategy employed by alternative funds today,” Stone said.
