BNY Melon has appointed Stephen Doyle to a newly created role of head of UK institutional relationship development for asset servicing.

In his new role Doyle will focus on asset servicing offerings across the investment lifecycle as well as working with asset owners and asset management clients.

Doyle rejoins BNY Mellon in the new role following a year and a half with Societe Generale where he served as head of institutional sales for the UK and Ireland.

He previously spent 15 years with BNY Mellon between 1999 and 2014 where he served as team manager for pensions and relationship management as well as taking responsibility for UK and Ireland asset servicing sales.

He also spent a year with Northern Trust as senior vice president for sales.

“Stephen has a deep knowledge of asset servicing and we are delighted that he is returning to BNY Mellon,” said Daron Pearce, CEO of BNY Mellon’s asset servicing business in EMEA.

“Globally, the UK is the second largest centre of asset management and this investment in talent further demonstrates our commitment to the UK market which is and continues to be central to our growth strategy.”

Doyle will be based in London in his new role and will report to Ileana Sodani, head of relationship development for asset servicing in EMEA.
