The European Multilateral Clearing Facility (EMCF), Europes largest cash equity CCP, is now interoperating with Turquoise, the pan-European equities and derivatives trading platform.
The move is a step closer to EMCFs aim of full interoperability with European trading platforms.
The move allows EMCF customers to consolidate their cash equity clearing flows across all the major European MTFs as well as NASDAQ OMX. It also lowers custs of trading on Turquoise for EMCF customers.
Were pleased Turquoise has signed up to full interoperability with EMCF, we hope this will be first of many more platforms that looks to offer its customers the EMCF advantage, says Jan Booij, CEO of EMCF.
Adrian Farnham, CEO of Turquoise, adds: We are delighted to be able to offer Turquoise clients the chance to clear with EMCF and we are pleased to be taking this further step towards wide-spread interoperability in Europe.
In March, SIX x-clear, the clearing division of SIX Securities Services, also joined Turquoise.
