Citi has hired Christy York as managing director and Head of Capital Introduction for its Prime Finance business in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

York will report to Paul Harvey, Prime Finance head of Sales and Capital Introduction in EMEA, and to Chris Greer, global head of Capital Introductions, on a global level.

York joins Citi from hedge fund manager TRG Management, where he was responsible for capital raising efforts. He has also led capital raising at PMA Investment Advisors and Charlemagne Capital. Before these stints York spent seven years at Deutsche Bank in London where he was head of the Hedge Fund Investment Banking Group, European head of Hedge Fund Relationship Management and European head of Capital Introduction Services.

Harvey said of Yorks appointment. “He will lead Citi’s European capital raising efforts and build on the momentum established by Serena Menaguale and the EMEA team, aligning with our global capital introduction strategy, providing deep and insightful access to investors along with product analysis and unique events to our priority clients and prospects.”

“The addition of Christy York completes Citi’s global capital introduction management team, which now includes Beth Neely, Head of Capital Introductions for the Americas and Martin Visairas, Head of Capital Introductions and Sales for Asia,” said Greer.
