Citi has hired Fiona Horsewill as its new European head of product development and strategy for its custody and fund services business, according to a memo seen by Global Custodian.

Horsewill joins from Northern Trust where she led the product and performance, and risk analytics businesses globally for over seven years. Before then she served as head of investment management operations for Europe at Lehman Brothers, as well as head of market operations at Insight Investment.

Horsewill will lead Citi’s product development strategy for the business, with the aim to identify new products and services for fund managers and institutional investors, the memo stated.

She will report to Dominic Crowe, global head of product development and strategy for custody and fund services, and Pervaiz Panjwani, EMEA head of custody and fund services.

Her appointment follows the hire of Bronwyn Fox from JP Morgan earlier this month as EMEA head of client executive for custody, fund services and agency lending.

In the newly created role, she will be responsible for developing its strategy and maximise growth across its client base. Fox was previously EMEA head of client services for global asset owners and gathers at JP Morgan.

Fox reports to Irimga McKay, global head of custody and fund services client executives, and to Danny Caplan, EMEA head of sales for prime futures and securities services, in the region.
