ILEX Asset Management has appointed David Meek as a partner and senior portfolio manager.
Meek was previously Managing Director of European Fixed Income at Citigroup with specific responsibility for trading Investment Grade bonds, credit default swaps and related credit products.
He was with Citigroup for 8 years and previously held similar roles with Bankers Trust, Natwest Markets and Chase Manhattan.
Meek is joining ILEX following a period of significant growth in assets under management and consistently strong performance enhanced by the continuing development of ILEX’s research capability. “David has consistently proved himself as one of the outstanding traders in European Credit markets over the past 10-15 years,” says Simon Thorp, Founder and Chief Investment Officer of ILEX. “Having worked closely together I know that his experience and expertise will perfectly complement the team here at ILEX.
