ICCREA Banca, financial institution of the Italian Banking System, has implemented watchlist filtering and SWIFT value-add plug-in software from EastNets to expand its anti-money laundering (AML) capabilities, and improve SWIFT traffic control.
ICCREA Banca, a Central Institution for over 440 Cooperative Credit Banks with 4,044 branches, serving 5 million customers throughout Italy, has deployed three integrated EastNets solutions including: en.SafeWatch Filtering, providing real-time blocking and sanction list filtering; en.Reporting for FIN and XML traffic monitoring and reporting and en.Duplicate Detection, preventing in real time emission of duplicate payments or other FIN messages sent to correspondents.
This deal was completed in collaboration with EastNets new Italian Partner, Net Solving. Both Companies believe that this relationship will increase their market penetration in the Italian banking sector.
After the deployment of EastNets solutions, we saw an immediate improvement of our compliance and SWIFT operations, says Claudio Di Legge, head of C.A.I.S. of ICCREA. The joint efforts of EastNets and Net Solving gave us the right confidence to start these projects.
We are very pleased with the ICCREA Banca implementation and the excellent results that they are achieving with our solutions, says Hazem Mulhim, CEO of EastNets. With ICCREA as a flagship customer and with our strategic partnership with Net Solving, we are well positioned to significantly expand our footprint in the Italian market.
With many small to mid-sized financial institutions, Italy is a prime market for EastNets products and services to quickly and affordably address the regulatory and transparency needs of Italian banks, says Alessandro Salini, director, Marketing & Sales of Net Solving. With EastNets SWIFT value-added plug-ins, SWIFT users can now effectively and efficiently manage and optimize the usage of SWIFT network services to streamline processes and reduce cost.
