Global Custodian is pleased to announce the shortlist for its annual Industry Leaders Awards to be held in New York at Chelsea Piers on 17 November.
The Fund Services-focused evening recognises the outstanding performers from our Prime Brokerage, Hedge Fund Administration, Private Equity Administration, Mutual Fund Administration and Exchange-Traded Fund Administration surveys.
In addition, our Editors’ Choice categories cover Innovation, Ones to Watch and initiatives which are not included in our flagship surveys.
Individual awards will be handed to the newest entrants to our Hall of Fame, along with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement award.
Leading the way with nominations this year is Ultimus Fund Solutions with an unprecedented 12 selections, while administration giants SS&C and U.S. Bank are each up for seven awards.
In the Prime Brokerage section, Morgan Stanley is shortlisted for six awards, while Goldman Sachs is nominated for four, and J.P. Morgan for two – with additional nods in the Editors’ Choice and ETF Administration awards.
The Prime Brokerage categories see some new entrants following strong survey performances from the likes of JonesTrading, Clear Street and Lazarus.
This year’s Private Equity Administration awards comprise a mixture of nominees including CSC, Intertrust Group and Trident Trust, alongside the aforementioned Ultimus and SS&C.
Mutual Fund Administration this year is dominated by three providers in Ultimus, UMB and U.S. Bank, while ETF Administration is a similar story with HSBC, RBC I&TS, along with Ultimus and J.P. Morgan.
This year’s Editors’ Choice awards shortlist has been greatly expanded to cover numerous areas which the surveys do not touch. The repeat categories include Best New Fund Services Project, Fund Services Partnership of the Year and Fund Services One to Watch. Meanwhile, new categories include Private Markets Initiative of the Year, Fund Administration Challenger of the Year, Fund Services FinTech One to Watch, and Fund Services FinTech Provider of the Year.
The annual Innovation awards are now open for nominations via this link. As the only section of the evening for which Global Custodian accepts entries, this year, we have highlighted a number of areas which we believe to be particularly pertinent to the industry and are not covered in the other awards. Nominations in these areas will be given special consideration and they include: Digital Asset Technology/Services, ESG Solution and Services, Manco Services, Outsourced Trading, Transfer Agency, Treasury Management Solutions and any innovative technology or services related to alternative funds.
