Global Custodian is delighted to announce the winners of its second annual Leaders in Custody Asia awards, held at Raffles in Singapore last night.
BNP Paribas, DBS Bank, Deutsche Bank, and ICICI Bank each took home three honours on the evening, while Citi, HSBC, and Standard Chartered were among the organisations to pick up two awards.
The event celebrated the outstanding securities services providers across the Asia Pacific region, including those who have excelled in Global Custodian’s Agent Bank surveys, alongside our Editors’ Choice, Innovation and Individual honours.
In our Editors’ Choice segment, State Street took home the Asset Servicing Deal of the Year award for a second year running – this time for its 10-year mandate with UOB Asset Management. Asset Servicing Deal of the Year Australia went to BNP Paribas for its deal with Future Group, while Best New Asset Servicing Initiative was picked up by Citi for its automated settlement solution in Hong Kong.
For its tie-up with CIMB, Deutsche Bank took home the award for Asset Servicing Partnership of the Year, while the Hong Kong Exchange was awarded with Market Infrastructure Project of the Year for its settlement acceleration platform. HSBC’s Orion platform also took home the crystal for Digital Asset Initiative of the Year.
HSBC’s Suvir Loomba picked up the prestigious Industry Person of the Year award, recognising the phenomenal achievements achieved by Loomba and his team over the past 12 months.
The other winners across our Survey awards included Nuvama Asset Services, SBI-SG Global Securities Services and UBS.
