Indonesia mutual fund PT Bahana TCW Investment Management has gone live with SS&C Technologies’ middle-to-back office investments operations platform, PORTIA.
SS&C’s PORTIA solution will automate the firm’s portfolio and fund accounting, and consolidate client and regulatory reporting on a single platform.
Bahana TCW, which manages approximately $3.3 billion of assets, stated it selected SS&C for its track record in Asia and strong knowledge of the Indonesian market.
“SS&C dedicated a strong team that was able to meet our operational requirements at a competitive price. We have now gained substantial efficiencies and stronger reporting capabilities,” said Edward Lubis, president director, PT Bahana TCW Investment Management.
In recent months, SS&C has signed on a number of leading buy-side firms and financial institutions to its various automated middle- and back-office platforms.
These include the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago that selected SS&C’s EVOLV platform to enhance automation and analytics, and Omaha-based life insurance firm WoodmenLife that adopted SS&C’s Precision LM software to enhance reporting and portfolio management.
In the Asia-Pacific region, SS&C also onboarded Timefolio Asset Management Singapore to its front-to-back technology platform, leveraging the Eze Investment Suise for portfolio management, accounting and order management, while also using GlobeOp middle and back-office outsourcing.
“We continue to invest in product development and market expertise to remain a leading solution provider in APAC,” added Christy Bremner, senior vice president, institutional and investment management, SS&C Technologies.
Speaking on the tech giant’s second quarter earnings call, SS&C’s chief operating officer, Rahul Kanwar, highlighted the various product enhancements and new services it is planning to launch across its business.
“These include Singularity, our smart cloud-based investment and operation system; CORE, our central data gathering and enrichment system and SightLine, which allows for advanced visualisation on large and complex data sets,” said Kanwar.
“As investment firms search for operating leverage, our suite of products and services designed to simplify scale and transform their operations is gaining momentum.”
