Robert P. Gach, a 20-year veteran of the financial services industry has been promoted to the position of Managing Partner, Banking & Insurance Industry Program, Accenture Financial Services, effective July 1.
In his new role, Gach will oversee and develop Accenture’s strategies, assets and capabilities in banking, capital markets and insurance worldwide – an area supported by more than 13,000 Accenture employees servicing the world’s leading financial institutions. Gach also will continue in his role as global managing partner of the Capital Markets practice.
Since joining Accenture, Gach has worked closely with leaders of the worldwide capital markets industry on both the buy-side and sell-side. He is an expert in information technology planning, architecture development and implementation in financial services.
Most recently Gach has assisted global investment banks and infrastructure providers in addressing the challenges and opportunities of the digital economy, the rise of cross-border trading and investments, and the emergence of new business models. Gach is also leading several Straight Through Processing (STP) initiatives for Accenture.
In addition, Gach serves on several Accenture advisory groups and has delivered industry speeches sponsored by such organizations as the AICPA, Computer In The City, Waters Information Services and The Institute for International Research on such topics as emerging Technologies, New Business Models, Risk Management Integration and IT Outsourcing.
