Acquisitions, high-profile hires and a new securities lending offering have been among the highlights of MUFG’s first year under new investor services chief John Sergides.

The deal will increase MUFG's Investor Services assets under administration (AuA) to over $600 billion, giving it enhance hedge fund administration capabilities. 

The appointment comes off the back of a need for more client management roles in private equity administration, as outsourcing continues to increase.
